Camera Tips and Techniques for Urban and City Landscape photography.

This post is about the research I carried on camera tips and techniques to know about Urban and Landscape photography.  There is just no better time to photograph cities at night than at night. Night photography can be a lot harder to do well, at first. The name of the game is using high-ISOs and shooting handheld. With a tripod, you have complete freedom over your camera settings when shooting at night just as you would in bright sunlight. The key is that we have time here, the time to dial in the perfect settings to get the perfect exposure (Maher, 2020). According to  Kennedy (2020), a  bigger EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM focal point is the workhorse for his metropolitan subjects that need a wide-point focal point with some zoom to catch the detail. The focal point is extraordinary for shooting metropolitan scenes, individuals, and nitty-gritty dynamic subjects. In contrast to Programmed Mode, you can in any case change the camera's blends of ideal openings. Thusly, you wil...

Software testing for my project

Image
In this post, I am going to show the technical process that I will use for editing my images before uploading them to my website for submission. In my project sign off I had planned to use different software to improve the quality of the photographs.  Unfortunately, I have tried to use photoshop and lightroom as I had planned but I am not able to use the software because I need to pay the subscription fee. Alternatively, I decided to use BeFunky as my main software for this project. Below are the steps; The below image has not been edited it is the original image before the editing. In the next step, I adjusted the exposure of the images. I reduced the brightness of the image from 0 to -82. Adjusted the contrast from 0 to 27 and reduced its highlights from 0 to -27. Then I adjusted the shadows to reduce the darkness of the image. The first image is before adjusting the exposure features then the second one was the results after the adjustment. The final step was to balance the colo...

User Experience.

In this blog, we were asked to work in pairs. The aim of the class activity was to look at each other websites and blog on the findings and quality check the site. I will consider the layout, design, fonts, or typography. I was paired with Rozalia and below is the link to her website: Click here:  rozaliaharyzadmu.wixsite.com/official Her website looks pretty good so far but with few mistakes which she needs to correct before submitting. Homepage. The homepage has a title that reflects on her work which is very good. However, the home page includes the rest of her work of which I would like to advise her to edit and put the rest of the work as different pages.  She has also included the navigation menu on the homepage she only needs to add her social links on the page if she has any. About me page. The about me page is pleasing as it has her professional photo.  The biography is well written therefore I was able to know who is Rozalia and what she is doing. The con...

Further research and project development.

For further research and project development for my project, I researched other photographers like Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams was an American landscape photographer known for his high contrast pictures of American west. He was influenced by Paul Strand who in the early 1920s he exhibited a more innovated photography. He originally got intrigued by photography at 14 years old while on a family occasion to Yosemite Public Park; from that point on he got enthusiastic about taking photos, it was the start of an amazingly productive occupation. Today Ansel Adams is perceived as quite possibly the most compelling scene photographic artists of the twentieth century.Ansel Adams essentially used large-format cameras with sharp focus with high contrast and good exposure. His images are well known for their composition and tonal balance. He uses a 4x5 format that he could easily tilt the camera and modify the view to get that sharp 'near-far' image (Francesssmithlandscapes, 2012).  For m...

Image
In today's session, we learned about target markets for our projects. We learned that every design project should know and understand its target market. Every target market should NEVER be 'everyone'; therefore, they should have a specific market to aim your advertising, marketing, and resources to the specific target audience. When you are looking for a target market it is always advisable to consider the following factors: -Demographics -Sociographics -Psychographics -Geographics  -Behaviours For this post, I am to do research on demographics for my target market and write about it. INSTA reels allow the user to create short videos this could be promotion, entertaining or even educative videos.  CASE STUDY. -1 Billion Instagram users are active monthly...

Creating a Customer Profile on Venngage

Image
In class today, we learned about creating a customer profile using Venngage. We were asked to interview someone and I chose to interview one of my friends who study in the US. Below is the link to access the whole profile of my friend. Click here:  https://venngage.net/ps/hphQId8ldWk/ideal-user-persona-guide From the customer profile of Andrew, I can conclude that he might be one of the targeted audience of my work. In his motivations, he stated quality photography skills. My project is creating a series of photographs that he might consider in improving his photography skills when doing his own work. I may include the shooting process in a short video and upload it on Instagram Reels to promote my work.

Software Testing

In today's session, we did software testing where we created a short video using biteable. I used a template on the Jobseeker video resume. The video was to answer three questions: 1.What software are you using? 2.Are trying out something new? 3.Have you experimented yet with different software? Please see below: In case you having trouble watching the video, please use the link below:  https://biteable.com/watch/2977490/bc0d3d82c03400dbcef549bc4cd47f5b I am pleased with the outcome of the video as at first it was not easy editing it but finally I am happy it come out as expected.
