The importance of Research

1. Why is research important?

-Research helps one to learn more as it gives you more ideas.

-Research helps in giving your work credibility.

-Research encourages curiosity as you open up to more ideas hence increasing your analytical skills.

- To have a clear understanding of the subject.


2.Why should you always look at at least three sources of information? 

-To show that you have done enough research to support your work.


3.How do you know if a source on the internet is reliable? 

-Check the credential of the author or the institution.

-Check the credibility of the source.


4.Why should you ALWAYS reference your sources?

-To avoid plagiarism

-To give credits to the owner of the source.

-For the reader of my work to locate my source.

Research on photographers using sketchbooks or journals.

For our self study this week we were asked to research designers, filmmakers, photographers or writers who are using sketchbooks or journals in our subject area. Since my subject area is on photography I am going to do a research on photographers, look at their work and analyse their working process and also discuss what I have learnt from this research. He was born in 1988 in United State.
