Reflective blog post

I would like to start by saying that it has been a very busy term compared to last term's work.   The 10 weeks of the term were soo important for my course journey and that has been my best experience. The fact that  Media 1 project module was more practical I loved the sessions generally.  Well that being said, I would like to reflect on my work so far for the 10 weeks. This term I was lucky to start my studies on time compared to last time where I arrived late. About the blog, this time round was easy for me to use the blog as I had already known how to customize and to use the features. I had to blog during class time and complete the work in self-study time.  The comments feedback from the tutor was very helpful for me as this helped me improve my blog by responding to the feedback responsibly.  The comments were also to inform me about my progress.  I believe I have done my best for this term. The set essay I did about analyzing the film was my be...

Initial Research: MICHEAL WOLF photography

Micheal Wolf is a German-photographer who is well known for his architectural photography skills. He captures the city life through 'portraits of cramped apartments, unending skyscrapers, and crowded subway cars.' In his series Architectural of Destiny, Paris Rooftops and Transparency City Wolf's images of Hong Kong, Chicago, and pairs are representations of the reality of thousands of humans living in that kind of life.  'Architectural of destiny'- In this series, Wolf captures photographed Hong kong tall buildings in a way that they are portrayed as 'abstraction, never-ending repetitions of architectural patterns' The images focus on the vertical lines of the building excluding the shy and the ground.  The first book that contains the images from the series (Hong Kong: Front Door/ Back Door was published in 2005 and one of the reviews states that the book's 'representation of an overpopulated city emptied of its human presence' and praised ...

I started by researching  Andrew Prokos' white and black photography. His Ultra-high-definition black and white photos are known for their sharpness and clarity. In his photography work, Andrew Prokos focuses on design to capture the wonders of the urban atmosphere and its typically underappreciated intricacies. In his cityscapes, Prokos’s pictures lengthen the sense of marvel associated with degreed detail in an urban skyline. In his subject area pictures, that he's best famous, he captures the customarily unnoticed aspects of contemporary and style of architecture. Prokos uses each medium- and large-format camera, typically using long exposures to capture wealthy details and imbue a way of motion. His work feels modern. He follows an extended lineage of photographers who launched to capture urban landscapes and design, together with Berenice Abbott and Weston. Although his photography work focuses on urban settings, Prokos remembers the methodology of the good nature creative...
