Welcome to the new term,

I am so happy to have here , my name is Mary Muthoni, a student in De Montfort University studying Media and Communication.I am from Kenya but currently living in England for my studies.So far I am liking Leicester.Its beautiful and got interesting cultures.With current national lockdown life is kinda hard and boring but am doing every thing possible to adapt.I am interested in football and do a lot of listening to music for my free time.I am passionate in photography.

I am not that person who does more of reading but for sure i would like to say I have loved this particular Novel and I have tried to read it.The Novel is “THINK LIKE A MONK” by Jay Shetty.Jay Shetty is an Indian British Author.He also make wisdom go viral to the world in his Youtube Channel.In simple words he is a storyteller and he inspires me with his messages and videos.

The book is about combination of  philosophy/beliefs  and also Jay Shetty personal experiences in life.He talks about identity of oneself, he shows how to come out of your comfort zone by avoiding the negative thoughts in life and creating true purpose.His work seems to be too much and not achievable, however he "provides provides advice and exercises to reduce stress, improve self-discipline and focus, and maintain relationships in the modern world" 
Through the book i have come to understand myself better and honestly i can not wait to learn more from the book after am done reading it.

Research on photographers using sketchbooks or journals.

For our self study this week we were asked to research designers, filmmakers, photographers or writers who are using sketchbooks or journals in our subject area. Since my subject area is on photography I am going to do a research on photographers, look at their work and analyse their working process and also discuss what I have learnt from this research. Below are example of photographers i have been looking at their work; 1.Eric Kim Source;   Eric Kim image Eric Kim is a street photographer currently based in Los Angeles. He was born in 1988 in United State.
