In my major project i would like to create a series of 6-8 images around the concept of dreaming.In my research post project i have decided to research on photographers who would inspire me through my progression route.So i have decided to look at two photographers who make this kind of images.

1.Luke Gram - he is a Canadian photographer who creates serene images by combining landscape imagery with silhouettes 

2.Angus McBean- a portrait photographer and theatre set designer, best known for his photographs of actors and celebrities and his use of surrealists  themes with some of his images.

This is a piece of work from Luke Gram photography studio.I did a research  of this particular image and even to an extent that i went to his social media and found he posted this image with a caption ‘Oldie but a personal favourite’ The image is old but it is still good and appealing.The combination of the portrait image of the lady and the nature creates a dream concept.The lady may be needs time a lone where she thinks of going for a walk in the forest, a quite place that will be good for meditation.Here Luke gram’s work gives a dreamy concept and i am interested to create such images in my own work.


2.RESEARCH FROM ANGUS MCBEAN.

Angus McBean was Welsh photography, set designer and cult figure associated with surrealism.This a an art characterised by dream like visuals.It looks like an image with its shadow created to create that dreamy character look.

    Instead of adding a screenshot of McCurry's work, it would be best to download and add his work as an image on your blog. Again, please make sure you add your own critical commentary on the work here as none of the writing in this post is your own words.

Research on photographers using sketchbooks or journals.

For our self study this week we were asked to research designers, filmmakers, photographers or writers who are using sketchbooks or journals in our subject area. Since my subject area is on photography I am going to do a research on photographers, look at their work and analyse their working process and also discuss what I have learnt from this research. Below are example of photographers i have been looking at their work; 1.Eric Kim Source;   Eric Kim image Eric Kim is a street photographer currently based in Los Angeles. He was born in 1988 in United State. I started by researching  Andrew Prokos' white and black photography. His Ultra-high-definition black and white photos are known for their sharpness and clarity. In his photography work, Andrew Prokos focuses on design to capture the wonders of the urban atmosphere and its typically underappreciated intricacies.
